Today we’d like to introduce you to Priscilla Jaeger.
Hi Priscilla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My path into this work didn’t begin in a wellness studio — it began in a warehouse.
I spent nearly a decade working in distribution logistics, pushing my body hard and trying to prove I could keep up in a physically demanding environment. As one of the few women in that space, I carried a lot of pressure to be tough. Over time the toll became undeniable. I experienced injuries, sciatica, chronic tension, and periods of anger and depression that I didn’t fully understand at the time. My nervous system was depleted, my body was exhausted, and I knew something needed to change.
Yoga entered my life as a practical solution — not a calling at first — simply something that helped ease pain and restore balance. But gradually it became more. Movement helped me reconnect with my body. Breath helped regulate my emotions. Stillness gave me space to listen inward. What began as physical recovery opened into deeper transformation.
Curiosity — and a determination to confront my fear of heights — pulled me into aerial movement. I was genuinely terrified, but I had reached a point where I wanted to stop shrinking around fear and start meeting it directly. I began saying yes to experiences that stretched me: trapeze, then silks, and eventually aerial yoga.
The first time I settled into the hammock, everything shifted. My body released tension I’d been carrying for years. My nervous system softened. For someone who had spent so long pushing and bracing, being supported instead of strained was unexpectedly emotional. In that moment I understood how powerful supported movement could be — and I knew I wanted to share that experience with others.
After completing AntiGravity® training, I began teaching while still working full-time. In 2017 I made the leap into entrepreneurship and launched what was then Cilly Fitness. That decision wasn’t about chasing a business idea — it was about alignment. I felt more energized helping people reconnect with themselves than I did in my corporate role, and I chose to follow that direction.
Over the years my work expanded beyond movement into sound healing, collaborative experiences, and community-centered offerings designed to create space for rest, reflection, and connection within and in community. When the pandemic reshaped everything in 2020, my husband Josh and I transformed our garage into an intimate studio sanctuary. That transition marked the evolution into Cilly Wellness — a more integrated expression of my work and values.
Today, I blend music, movement, and holistic practices with mentorship for heart-centered entrepreneurs who want to bring their gifts into the world — especially those navigating technology or business systems for the first time. We host small-group sound experiences, creative retreats, and private sessions, and I continue developing offerings around voice activation, conscious financial relationships, and aligned business growth.
At its core, my story is about transformation — learning to listen to the body, to emotions, and to the inner signals that invite us toward growth and inner wisdom. Cilly Wellness reflects that journey: a space devoted to safety, connection, joy, and helping people rediscover their capacity to heal, create, and lead meaningful lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. The challenges shaped who I am as a leader and business owner.
In the early days of teaching aerial yoga, I was energized and enthusiastic, placing posters and brochures around Tacoma to share my offerings. Before long, I noticed they were disappearing. I eventually realized there was resistance from someone who wanted to remain the sole aerial instructor in the area and was actively removing my materials. At the time, it was discouraging and draining — both emotionally and energetically — but it ultimately became one of my most valuable lessons.
That experience shifted my mindset from competition to collaboration and pushed me to develop new skills. I dove into digital marketing, built an online presence, and embraced social platforms — spaces where my voice couldn’t be quietly removed from a bulletin board. Those skills ultimately became the foundation of the mentorship work I offer today, helping heart-centered entrepreneurs confidently share their gifts with the world.
Of course, that was just one chapter. Entrepreneurship itself is a continuous stretch — navigating finances, logistics, regulations, self-doubt, visibility, and the vulnerability that comes with building something meaningful. It asks you to evolve constantly.
But those experiences revealed something important to me: sensitivity, emotional awareness, and compassion are not liabilities in business — they’re strengths. They allow us to build authentic community and support others in ways that transactional models simply can’t.
Every obstacle has reinforced my belief that we rise further through collaboration, kindness, and resilience — and that philosophy continues to guide everything I create through Cilly Wellness.
As you know, we’re big fans of Cilly Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My work lives at the intersection of music, movement, and integrative wellness. Through Cilly Wellness, I create experiences that help people reconnect with themselves — physically, emotionally, creatively, and professionally.
I specialize in aerial yoga, sound-based healing experiences, and mentoring heart-centered entrepreneurs as they build aligned businesses. Whether I’m guiding someone through movement in a hammock, facilitating a sound session, or helping a client design their website and systems, the intention is consistent: creating environments where people feel safe, supported, and capable of growth.
Over the years I’ve become known for blending practical tools with deeply human connection. I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed by technology, sensitive to traditional business culture, or unsure how to bring their gifts into the world. Supporting them in gaining clarity, confidence, and visibility — while staying grounded in their values — is incredibly meaningful to me.
What I’m most proud of isn’t a single offering or milestone — it’s the community and space that has grown around this work. My husband Josh and I built an intimate studio sanctuary that hosts small-group sound experiences, retreats, and private sessions, and I’ve had the privilege of guiding thousands of people through aerial movement and collaborative healing experiences. Seeing people rediscover trust in themselves — that’s the true reward.
What sets my approach apart is integration. I don’t separate wellness from creativity, or business from emotional well-being. I bring together lived experience, technical skill, and compassion — combining grounded strategy with intuitive awareness. My goal isn’t just to teach techniques; it’s to help people access their own agency, voice, and capacity to lead meaningful lives.
At its core, my work is about helping people remember that transformation is possible — and giving them tools to embody it.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Oh — so many! I’m constantly exploring resources that support growth, creativity, and perspective, and books in particular have had a profound influence on my life. The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, and The Universe Always Has a Plan by Matt Kahn are favorites that reshaped how I approach courage, creativity, and trust in life’s unfolding. I’ve also been deeply impacted by Calling in “The One” by Katherine Woodward Thomas, The Yoga of Sound by Russell Paul, and Wheels of Life by Anodea Judith, which inform how I understand relationships, energy systems, and purpose.
When I discover a book that truly moves me, I often gather a group and host a book study so we can explore the material together. I love the collective reflection — hearing different perspectives, applying insights in real time, and building connection through shared learning.
Spiritually and creatively, I’m nourished by works like Music and Mantras by Girish, The Sophia Code by Kaia Ra, Awakening Creativity by Carrie Schmitt, and even Boy by Roald Dahl — a reminder that imagination and storytelling are lifelong companions. Frameworks such as Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg, May Cause Miracles by Gabby Bernstein, The Four Agreements, the Gene Keys, and the energy medicine teachings of Donna Eden and Laura Walker continue to shape how I reflect, communicate, and serve others.
Podcast-wise, I enjoy Marie Forleo and The School of Greatness by Lewis Howes for entrepreneurial insight, as well as Awakening Creativity with Carrie Schmitt. Teachings from Ajahn Brahm hold a particularly special place for me — his compassion, humor, and grounded wisdom consistently inspire how I approach both life and leadership.
Ultimately, I gravitate toward resources that cultivate curiosity, kindness, and self-awareness. They help me stay connected to creativity and presence — qualities that guide how I show up in my work and within the Cilly Wellness community.
