Today we’d like to introduce you to Janice Debo.
Hi Janice, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career in sales and marketing in North Carolina over 30 years ago. After relocating to Oregon in 2010, I purchased a business online and ran that for another few years. During the course of running that business I met someone who was instrumental in helping me see that I was always working with people to help them grow their businesses. He helped me get started in my coaching business. It has evolved into being personal development, training and coaching. I’ve done that for about 8 1/2 years now.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I went through some major changes through a divorce, multiple moves and loss of pets. Had to navigate many tough situations. Through it all I kept working with clients to help them along the way.
We’ve been impressed with Janice Debo Personal Development Training and Coaching , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a relational leadership and clarity coach who helps overwhelmed professionals reclaim personal authority, break over-responsibility patterns, and move forward with grounded confidence through clarity, compassion, and sustainable accountability
The Grounded Accountability Path (GAP) is a relational coaching experience designed to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and sustainable follow-through.
This isn’t pressure-based accountability or productivity hacks.
It’s grounded support built on clarity, compassion, and real responsibility.
Through GAP, you will:
• Get clear on what truly matters
• Identify patterns that are keeping you stuck or overextended
• Strengthen personal agency and healthy boundaries
• Stay accountable to goals you actually choose
• Build momentum in ways you can sustain
Transformation doesn’t happen through force.
It happens through grounded awareness and consistent action — in relationship.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think we all need to take risks at different times in our lives. The big one I took was leaving North Carolina in 2009 and moving to Colorado Springs. That is where I met my former husband who was instrumental in moving to Oregon.
I had no idea where my life would go at that point.
