Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Vantriet.

Hi Cassandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a 3x founder with one exit. My path has always been unconventional, I never subscribed to the “normal” school or career path, it always felt like it wasn’t designed for me to express and utilize my unique skillset. This left me feeling lost and unsure of what my purpose was for many years. After a few years travelling abroad I felt inspired to just try one of my ideas. I founded my first fashion accessories business in 2016, learning through trial and error the basics of business. After two and half years of building and scaling it internationally I felt an urge to do something different, something more aligned with who I was and my interests, as keeping up with demands of the fashion industry was not something I valued or really understood going into it.

I took my learnings and founded my second business in the wellness industry, creating therapeutic tea remedies and timeless tools to elevate everyday well being. I approached this business differently, building a scalable foundation from the beginning, automating and designing processes for future growth. After 5 years of growing this business, that urge appeared again. This time letting go felt much harder, my identity was attached to this business, I was founder-facing, I built a strong community and built in public. After a year of self-reflection and a hard conversation with a friend I was able to extract what I truly loved about being an entrepreneur— the operational design that creates the foundation for an idea to come to life and a founder to feel aligned with their purpose. I knew it was time to make my next move, I sold my business in 2023 and focused all my energy into building my consulting business.

I started consulting on the side in 2019, helping new entrepreneurs bring their idea to market. Over the years my skillset expanded and so did my consulting services, this business organically grew with many iterations along the way. The past few years I’ve operated as a Business Development Consultant for founders of small to medium sized business’s, helping them build the foundation for their big vision and as the leader who operates it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth no, but every challenge was the catalyst to my next level and a crucial part of my journey to get to where I am in my career. Once I shifted my perspective to extract the lesson from every challenge it helped me to grow into the next level version of myself and build a business that is aligned with who I am and my unique skillset.

A challenge I faced early on was building my business within industry standards and those who modelled the path to “success’ before me. I spent a year chasing goals that others had set as I believed they would get me to where I wanted. Once I arrived I felt so far from my original vision and purpose it felt unclear how to get back. It took me the next year of putting blinders onto the industry and my competitors to re-discover what I wanted out of my business and learn to self-source my own path. Through a lot of self-reflection, space and connecting back to who I wanted to become, I found my path again and built a business that felt like the perfect fit for me and my life. It was in this transformation that I started to see how many founders follow paths set out by something external to them, as a result feeling restricted by their business and disconnected from their purpose.

For me it was never the fundamental struggles that got in my way, building and scaling a business comes very natural to me. I can always find a way to see a clear path forward and identify the steps in order to get there. It was always the limiting fears and beliefs that prevented me from reaching my next level. Through this journey I developed a unique skillset in the energetics of business and how it impacts the outcomes and results of a physical business. I too continue to face energetic blocks and work through the process of transforming them into the beliefs that align with my future self. Through this continued practice I bring this depth and level of seeing to my clients, working with both the energetics and fundamental strategies of business.

I’m a Business Development Consultant, working with founders of small to medium sized business’s. I bring over 10 years of personal and client experience in both product and service based businesses. I specialize in business development and leadership development, offering a unique 1:1 service that focuses on both the energetics and fundamental aspects of growth.

I work in two capacity’s, one being an advisor, developing founders into their most aligned version of self and the other leading and executing internal development projects that expand the physical capacity of a business. Through both of these facets I’ve created a container to share my insights and perspective to create deeper alignment, transformation and growth.

I offer 1-hour Founder Sessions, readily available for those moments you can’t see your most aligned step forward. A quarterly Vision and Execution Series that kicks off every January, customized business development projects and a 1:1 retainer that’s designed for your needs and goals.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Enjoying the moments along this unknown journey. Whether that’s experiencing life through my toddler’s eyes, living on our 5-acre land in the mountains, travelling to a new place, experiencing something entirely new or the moment I connect the dots for a client and it changes everything. Happiness is a perspective, a choice, something we have complete control over. I challenge myself daily to look for the moments that wow me, the conversations that excite me and the people that fill my cup.
