Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Schafer.
Hi Tara , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. My first venture was selling rocks to the neighborhood kids at the age of 6 with my older sister. We marketed them as “magical rocks.” My first “group coaching program” was when I taught 6 neighborhood girls dance routines. I even rented out my local school gym for our group meetings!
Fast forward many years. I’ve owned and operated many brick and mortar ventures. Including a coffee shop, an organic soap shop and a bespoke corset service.
My first online business venture was selling luxury fetish lingerie! This is also when I created my first digital product. An online course titled, Kinky Smart. Teaching adult couples how to spice things up in the bedroom.
Then covid hit. Everyone wanted jammies!
I, personally, wanted something with more depth. This is when I leaned into my knowledge of Astrology. It originally just started with your basic birth chart readings.
But I quickly realized, I could use my entrepreneur knowledge along with my astrology knowledge and help women 40+ to create something truly unique to them.
I know help women 40+ create an online business (or side hustle) using business strategy and also the energetics of their astrology chart. This helps my clients to know and understand their weaknesses and strengths. It’s truly a holistic approach to business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This has most certainly not been a smooth road! Or rather a learning curve into myself and what it is that I truly want and how I can help others. I was always turned off by the “bro-marketing” side of things. (As most women are.)
Most of my struggles have been about learning how to show up in a non-icky way that felt good for me. Then being able to translate that to the women out there that needed the message at the time.
You can do great things. You can go after that dream that fills you with purpose.
It doesn’t have to be to make 6 or even 7 figures a year. Maybe it’s just to have a greater purpose and wake up knowing you can help someone else. A fellow human being.
