Today we’d like to introduce you to Arina Sharavueva.
Hi Arina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been tattooing professionally for about three years, though my interest in the industry started long before that. Before becoming an artist, I worked as a tech recruiter in large corporate companies, which gave me a strong foundation in communication, structure, and professionalism — skills that now shape how I run my business.
Opening my studio in downtown Kirkland was a natural evolution. I wanted to create a refined, intentional space — not only for clients to feel comfortable and inspired, but also for artists to feel supported, respected, and proud of the environment they work in. For me, it’s about elevating both the experience and the standard of the industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Transitioning from a stable corporate career into a creative industry came with risk and uncertainty. Building a client base from scratch, establishing credibility, and stepping into entrepreneurship all at once required resilience.
There were moments of self-doubt, financial pressure, and the challenge of balancing artistry with running a business. But each obstacle pushed me to become more disciplined and intentional. The struggles ultimately shaped not only my technical growth as an artist, but also my mindset as a studio owner.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in fine line and Asian-inspired tattoos, focusing on soft details, clean lines, and designs that flow naturally with the body. I love creating pieces that feel elegant and intentional rather than overpowering.
I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me and the space I’ve built around my work. What sets me apart is that I care just as much about the experience and long-term vision as I do about the tattoo itself. For me, it’s not just art — it’s connection, precision, and creating something meaningful that lasts.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is intention — in my work, in the space I create, and in the relationships I build with clients and artists. Tattooing is permanent, so I believe every detail should be thoughtful and meaningful.
I also deeply value growth. Leaving a stable corporate career to build something of my own wasn’t easy, but it allowed me to create a life and studio that reflect who I truly am. For me, success isn’t just about recognition — it’s about building something authentic, elevated, and sustainable.
